The eStore pack is the perfect entry to selling products online. The idea of this pack is for me to make you a site which will allow you to start receiving payments for products and services through the PayPal payment system. The site will be designed to be fully scalable. You may have 2 products right now but when you get more; the site is ready to dynamically show your new product with just minutes of your time. It is vital that I understand your business so I can get creative and offer you the latest features that will set your site apart. After you explain your business you'll explain your aims of the site and your expectations. I will sketch my interpretation of what you want and send it to you. You decide on final adjustments and we lock-in the design. This type of site requires many hours of work so you can expect the complete setup, design and programming time to be around 3 weeks.
The web address of your choice
A web address (A.K.A. Domain Name) should be as short as possible, easy to say and typically only use full words (no slang or words which could be spelt a number of ways). You want to be able to verbally say your web address to someone once and have them recall it at a later date without indecision. If you are an Australian business I suggest you choose a '.com.au' or '.net.au' domain rather than just '.com'. Customers trust that you are actually an Australian business because '.com.au' can only be purchased by Australian businesses.
30 email accounts including webmail logon
Say you chose 'www.nicksflowers.com.au' as your web address, you can have 30 names ending in 'nicksflowers.com.au' as email addresses. For example 'jessica@nicksflowers.com.au'. Extra email accounts are $15 per year. You will also get the webmail logon page which lets you and your staff check email securely from any computer in the world.
1 year of website hosting
Your website will be hosted by a third party company to ensure your website is fast and accessible 99.8% of the time.
Google submission + site statistics + meta optimisation
Why have a site when no one can find it? Your site will be listed in Google searches approximately 10 days after it is launched. Your site will be referenced by no less than 5 web directories to promote a higher Google page rank. Your site statistics will be tracked for free by Google Analytics so you can see where your visitors are coming from, how many are returning visitors, what they are searching for and how long they are staying. You will be given a username and password to view the statistics as well as an explanation by me on interpreting the statistics.
Meta tags: Put simply, each page contains a number of meta tags which are specific to that page. Each meta tag holds information about that page which is only visible to search engines. Search engines such as Google use this information to understand the content of that page and rank your website accordingly. eCommerce websites typically have products constantly coming in and going out and, in order to keep meta tags relevant and up-to-date, it is necessary to dynamically create them based on the information added about the product. The extra time spent making meta tags dynamic will help to ensure Google links searchers to your site more often. Email/Newsletter subscription form + database
This pack allows you to have unlimited forms for your customers to fill in and send you data. Form examples:
a. You may choose to just let the visitor send you an email from your website.
b. You could let visitors send you their email address to join to your discounts/special offers mailing list.
c. You may let visitors request a quote for your products or services.
Depending on the type of form you choose, it is possible to have the form results sent to an online database instead of an email account. A database is preferable because you just login to this website with your details and you can view the entire contents of the database in a format that suits you. This stops you wasting time collecting email addresses as they will all be displayed in one place. Using a database also ensures that you don't lose the all important email address list if your computer dies. NB: These days a list of email addresses from people who requested to be on your mailing list is considered 'good will' when it comes to selling your business and will allow you to increase your asking price considerably.
Pack #3 Example
This is an example of what you can expect from a Pack#3 website. The site has many products with their own images and descriptions. All information is pulled from a database. The site accepts credit card and PayPal payments through the PayPal shopping cart. It has a number of dynamic forms which update databases and also has a form which lets visitors send an email about the website to a friend.
Ongoing fees
The prices of the packs should be taken as a strong indicator of how much you will end up paying, should you choose to add features not initially budgeted for then a new fixed price will be negotiated based on the additions to ensure transparency and fairness. Pack payments are accepted upfront so you don't have to worry about any payments for 12 months. There are only two ongoing fees for websites. The first is $17 per year for Domain (website address) ownership. The second is webhosting which is $78.00 per year. Therefore the cost to you to keep your site active each year after the first is $95.00.
